Your immediate goal is finding the forest edge and establishing a base camp in a location near trees but not in dense forest. Here, you'll construct a hunting station, fire pit, and drying rack to process the creatures you hunt and prepare food to survive.

Building and crafting are central to your survival strategy. Construct anything from a simple shelter to massive coastal fortifications. Set traps and defensive structures around your perimeter to protect against threats lurking in the darkness. Chop down trees to create tents and fires. Gather and combine resources creatively—a stick with five feathers becomes an arrow; multiple items combine to craft powerful weapons. As night falls and danger emerges, your defenses must be ready.
